    Please list correct steps for updating the theme with this new release.  I see conflicting instructions on whether to just FTP the updated theme files or completely remove & reinstall the theme. If FTP is an option, how do plugins get updated?

    Obviously I want to preserve all work I've already done on the website with the theme.

    To update the theme via FTP please follow the steps below:

    • Make full backup of your files
    • Download the latest version of the theme from https://themeforest.net/downloads
    • Remove license from homepage of your admin panel
    • Go to wp-content/themes and remove or rename current transpress folder to eg. transpress-old
    • Upload transpress.zip and extract it
    • Go to WordPress admin dashboard and activate the uploaded theme version
    • Lastly, make sure to update the plugins from Appearance > Install Plugins.

    All your settings made in the theme will be kept and not overwritten.
